Camping Rules

  • All grounds are subject to unscheduled watering day and night. You are responsible for taking the necessary precautions to protect your property from any damage such watering may cause.
  • A 14-day stay limit is followed in all parks. You must then vacate that park for a minimum of five days. During those five days you may visit any of our other parks in Hells Canyon. After the five days you may return to your original park, if space is available.
  • All overnight camping, with or without hookups, is subject to the posted fees. Fees are due upon arrival. Check out time is 2 p.m., Mountain Time.
  • Campsites may not be reserved and no advance payments are accepted. Those who reserve and those persons for whom the space is reserved may be asked to leave the park. Leaving an unoccupied vehicle, trailer, tent, or other belongings as a means of reserving a site is strictly prohibited.
  • Only one recreational vehicle per space except where prior permission is obtained from park personnel.
  • All vehicles must stay on established roads or parking areas and operators must possess a valid operator's license.
  • Boats and trailers are to be parked in designated areas.
  • All parks have a noise curfew of 11p.m. Mountain Time and all guests are required to observe this curfew.
  • Pets are welcome, but must be attended and kept on a six-foot leash. The pets also must not disturb other park visitors and their owners are required to clean up after them.
  • Dump all wastewater and gray water in designated dump stations and all trash in garbage cans, not in fire pits.
  • All fires are to be confined to the grills or fire rings provided by Idaho Power.
  • Fireworks or the discharge of a firearm or device that propels a projectile is prohibited within or near any park.
  • Companies, organizations, or anyone wishing to use our facilities for gatherings, picnics, vending merchandise, or providing other services like catering, etc., must obtain advance permission from the park coordinating team by calling 541-785-3323.
  • Please respect the property and privacy of other park visitors and Idaho Power employees.
  • Those who violate these regulations can be required to vacate the premises immediately at the request of Idaho Power personnel. Those refusing to do so can be prosecuted.
  • Get information about camping outside the developed campgrounds within the Hells Canyon Complex, or access more details about the Hells Canyon Complex camping policies.
